Battling the Stigma

What they want, and what those who advocate for them demand, is only that they get what they deserve: To live with dignity and respect as they battle their illness and try to make a life for themselves and their families, and a reasonable expectation of empathy, understanding and support from their community.
Mental Health Month

Mental Health America is proud to continue its tradition of celebrating “May is Mental Health Month,” which began in 1949. This year’s theme, “Live Your Life Well,” challenges us to promote health and wellness in homes, communities, schools, and inform those who don’t believe it’s attainable.
Alcohol Awareness

In 2007, more than one fifth (23.3 percent) of persons aged 12 or older participated in binge drinking at least once in the 30 days prior to taking SAMHSA’s National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). This translates to about 57.8 million people. To recognize the serious problem of alcohol abuse, April is designated “Alcohol Awareness Month.”
Sleep Awareness Week
